So many of us have experienced the chill of an unexpected cold snap, that shiver that gets into your bones and lingers until we can wrap ourselves in the warmth of coats and outerwear that crowd our closets. In our midst however there are so many people who do not have that luxury and for whom the cold and harsh weather is a constant and unwelcome companion.
With winter quickly approaching, National Philoptochos is excited to announce our partnership with One Warm Coat, a San Francisco based organization that has facilitated the distribution of more four million coats to the needy and unfortunate.
Our St. Anastasia Philoptochos Chapter will be supporting this wonderful ministry. Please check your closets for any "gently worn" coats of any size and bring them to church any time. There will be a collection box in the narthex.
